Nuit Blanche North is back on July 18th. Now in its 14^th year, the free signature event will once again fill downtown Huntsville with 32 different activities and performances by over 100 local and visiting artists.

This year’s programming features incredible sites and performances inspired by the theme “INTO THE WILD”. Discover unique and engaging installations, interactive art, film, sculpture, street theatre, music, or anything else that the notion of connection: the opportunities, approaches and mediums we use to connect with each other and the environment around us..

Please note the following closures:
Main St. will be closed between Centre St. and Brunel Rd. starting at 4pm on July 18, 2026. It will reopen at 4am on July 19th.
River Mill Parking Lot will be closed starting at 6am on July 18, 2026. It will reopen at 4am on July 19th.

Discover unique and engaging installations, interactive art, film, sculpture, street theatre, music, or anything else that the notion of connection: the opportunities, approaches and mediums we use to connect with each other and the environment around us..

Main St. will closed to traffic between Centre St. and Brunel starting at 4pm for Nuit Blanche North.

Due to the ongoing construction on Minerva St., our detour route has been updated. The route will now proceed Along Mary/Princess Street. Signage will be posted. Main Street will reopen by 4am.

Nuit Blanche North returns this weekend for one night only on July 20^th. Now in its 12^th year, the free signature event will once again fill downtown Huntsville with 30 different activities and performances by over 100 local and visiting artists.

As in past years the fun gets underway at 8pm and the evening will run to early Sunday morning. Whether you come and experience the whole event or just drop in and enjoy a few aspects of it you can be sure that it will be the most interesting night of the summer.

Main St. will be closed to traffic between Centre St. and Brunel starting at 4pm on July 20^th . River Mill Parking lot will be closed starting at 6am on the same day. All will reopen to regular use by 4am on July 21, 2024.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! NOW ACCEPTING PROPOSALS FOR NUIT BLANCHE NORTH 2023

The Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) are thrilled to invite artist proposals for the 11^th edition of Nuit Blanche North to be held on July 22, 2023.

For one night only, the streets will come alive with an exciting program of free contemporary artistic activities, events and exhibits taking place in unconventional places in and around Huntsville’s downtown core. Thousands flooded the streets in 2022, and we expect that number to grow again this year.

This year’s theme is “AND THAT’S WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGED”. There is so much that is changing in the world around us and in our own personal lives. While change is an essential part of existence, the current forces and events in our world seem to be increasing the speed of these changes. We invite projects that respond to the notion of change: the forces that spur these changes, the opportunities that present themselves, and how we can individually and collectively encounter these changes. We are particularly interested in projects that involve participation of community members or visitors to the event. Priority will be given to those projects which explore this theme in relationship to the Muskoka/Parry Sound region.

The Huntsville Festival of the Arts are pleased to invite artist proposals for the 9th annual Nuit Blanche North on July 25^th, 2020.

For one night only, the streets will come alive with an exciting program of free contemporary artistic activities, events and exhibits taking place in unconventional places in and around Huntsville’s downtown core. Thousands flooded the streets in 2019, and we expect that number to grow again this year.

This year’s theme is “The Stories We Tell”. We are seeking unique and engaging installations, interactive art, film, sculpture, street theatre, music, or anything else that explore ideas revolving around the collective, what connects/divides, as well as the opportunities & challenges collectivity provokes. We seek projects that encourage audiences to explore, discover, debate, and participate in contemporary art and the public spaces that surround them. This is your chance to think outside the box, and let your imagination run wild. Any venue in the downtown core is possible, and we encourage local businesses, cultural and religious institutions to join in by opening their doors and offering free access to contemporary art. Artists will be paid fees for their participation.

The Huntsville Festival of the Arts are pleased to invite artist proposals for the 8th annual Nuit Blanche North on July 27^th, 2019.

Close to 7,000 visitors flooded the streets in 2018, and we expect that number to grow again this year.

This year’s theme is “All Together Now”. We are seeking unique and engaging installations, interactive art, film, sculpture, street theatre, music, or anything else that explore ideas revolving around the collective, what connects/divides, as well as the opportunities & challenges collectivity provokes. We seek projects that encourage audiences to explore, discover, debate, and participate in contemporary art and the public spaces that surround them. This is your chance to think outside the box, and let your imagination run wild. Any venue in the downtown core is possible, and we encourage local businesses, cultural and religious institutions to join in by opening their doors and offering free access to contemporary art. Artists will be paid fees for their participation.
