The image of Tom Thomson’s canoe floating on the water, empty, is iconic of his death and the mystery surrounding it. Throughout the night, canoe lanterns, both large and small, will glow under the night sky as a remembrance of his life, and ultimately, how he eventually became part of the landscape he painted.

Rooted in the history and culture of Argentina, the Milonga is an impromptu social gathering where visitors are invited to meet, interact and of course dance the tango together. Bryant and Faye Lopez, along with dancers and enthusiasts from across Ontario, will share this beautiful and passionate dance form through demonstrations, explanations and communal dance. All are welcome to participate!
